YEREVAN. – At present, there are no preconditions in Armenia for a swine flu outbreak in the country. Armenia’s chief epidemiologist, Ara Asoyan, told this to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In his words, cases of swine influenza were recorded in the country in 2009-2010.

“A case of swine flu was recorded in Armenia on November 4, 2009, and the preconditions for that epidemic were able to be eliminated on February 10, 2010,” Asoyan said.

He also stressed that no deaths from this virus were recorded in Armenia over the course of that period.
