This January Georgian government signed a six-month contract with one of the most influential lobbying firms of Washington — Podesta Group.

According to Georgian Business agency, under the $300.000 contract the firm undertakes to lobby interests of Georgia in the U.S. Congress and executive branch, as well as provide media services.

In January Georgian government also hired lobbying firm of former Congressman Richard Gephardt, signing annual contract of $440 000.

Both contracts were signed by the Georgian Secretary of National Security Council Eka Tkeshelashvili on behalf of Georgian authorities.
