YEREVAN. – The First Deputy Defense Minister of Armenia, Davit Tonoyan, on Friday met in Brussels with chairman of the European Union Military Committee (EUMC), General Mikhail Kostarakos.
They discussed the prospects for Armenia-EU military cooperation, the Ministry of Defense of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
In addition, the EU representative informed about the opportunities and the format for the partners’ participation in the international peacekeeping and stability missions.
At the ensuing talk, Tonoyan briefed Kostarakos on the present-day situation along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border and the line of contact between the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) and Azerbaijani armed forces.
The interlocutors also exchanged views on regional security issues.
