YEREVAN. – Armenia will complete the process of changing administrative division by 2018, Territorial Administration Minister Davit Lokyan said.
The government plans to unite around 250 settlements and 20 consolidated municipalities by fall of 2017. The Cabinet plans to finally complete consolidation of municipalities bringing the number to 100.
New municipalities will unite seven or eight villages, or will be merged with the nearest town.
