Federal judge in Seattle halted U.S. President Donald Trump's order banning immigrants from seven Muslim countries.
The lawsuit demands recognize the main provisions of the order unconstitutional and replace it.
The Justice Department now plans to file an emergency stay of the ruling, BBC reported.
“The president's order is intended to protect the homeland and he has the constitutional authority and responsibility to protect the American people,” White House said in a statement.
