During an anti-terrorist operation in Ankara on Sunday, the Turkish police detained 60 people on suspicion of having ties to the Islamic State (IS).
According to Anadolu news agency, most of them are foreigners. The agency’s sources in the law enforcement authorities informed that the operation was simultaneously carried out in Sincan, Çubuk, Yenimahalle and Mamak districts of Ankara Sunday morning.
The suspects have been taken to the Ankara police department for questioning.
