Chinese President Xi Jinping and his U.S. counterpart Donald Trump had a phone conversation during which the Chinese President greatly appreciated the United States is committed to enhancing win-win cooperation with China in economy, trade, investment and international affairs, Xinhua reported.

The White House called the conversation the leaders “lengthy” and “extremely cordial.” It was noted that Trump and Jinping invited each other to visit the United States and China, respectively.

During their first telephone conversation, since Donald Trump’s inauguration, the two leaders also agreed to maintain close contacts to exchange opinions on issues of common concern in a timely manner.
