Kremlin considers that US sanctions against North Korea, a holdover from the previous administration, continue to negatively affect bilateral relations with Moscow, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters Friday, Sputnik reported.

“This is a continuation, unfortunately, of the previous line. This causes nothing but regret. This is a factor that continues to have a negative impact on our bilateral relations. Rather, these inertial actions,” Peskov said at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). 

U.S. Department of the Treasury noted yesterday that Washington imposed sanctions against the citizens of Russia and North Korea in connection with the development of Pyongyang's nuclear program.

In particular, sanctions were imposed against three Russian companies - Ardis-Bearings LLC and Independent Petroleum Company (IPC), and IPC’S subsidiary in Vladivostok, AO NNK-Primornefteprod.
