Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak does not share the view that other countries will begin to withdraw from the Paris climate accord after such a decision was made by the US, RNS reported.

“Many countries have confirmed their commitment to this agreement, six countries from the G7 have retained their commitment …,” Novak said at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), adding that the withdrawal of the US will not cause a chain reaction.

 Alexander Novak noted that the process of withdrawal takes not less than three years, different decisions can be made during this time.
