An unknown man took hostages at a Jobcentre in Newcastle, the UK. He is armed with a knife, BBC reported quoting the local police.
According to a source, the man entered the building and took hostages. At the moment, there are no victims. The police are negotiating with him.
Nearby student accommodation was evacuated and Byker Metro station was closed.
