Turkish FM Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu is going to visit Saudi Arabia in order to hold talks on the crisis between Qatar and Gulf countries. Çavuşoğlu noted that Ankara “maintains impartiality” and exerts efforts towards resolving the controversies.

Ankara supported Qatar during the crisis with the Gulf countries. In particular, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that Turkey will continue developing relations with Qatar. Earlier, Ankara stated about its wish to become a mediator in the settlement of dispute between the Arabic countries.
