At least 28 inmates were killed as a result of a fight between rival gangs in a prison in the Mexican Pacific resort of Acapulco on Thursday, BBC reported.

As the administration of Las Cruces prison  informed, several bodies were decapitated.

The victims were stabbed and beaten to death.

Acapulco is the largest city in Guerrero state, one of Mexico's most violent areas and a big center for drug production.
