Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kılıc refuted rumors, saying Azerbaijani flag will be banned at the Turkey-Armenia football match on October 14 in Bursa, Turkish Zaman daily reports.

The Turkish diplomat had to make the statement in response to Azerbaijani citizens' protests against the information spread by Azeri mass media.

“This is pure soccer, with no politics. Politics is not pertinent here,” the Ambassador stated.

“The Bursa police are well prepared and will be on alert to prevent clashes between rival fans. Nearly 2,000 special security forces will be stationed to maintain order at the stadium in Bursa during the game,” the daily reads.
