In the course of his visit to Rostov-on-Don Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan visited Armenian Chaltr village on Friday to meet with residents and get familiar with history and activities of the local Armenian community.

Premier Sargsyan visited Surb Hambartsum church and laid a wreath at khachkar (cross stone) and memorial to the victims of Great Patriotic War, governmental press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

There are eight Armenian villages in Russia’s Rostov region with Armenian population reaching 30,000 people.
