YEREVAN. – Collaboration between Armenia and EU has positive impact on fight against child trafficking in Armenia, Armenia’s deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Filaret Berikyan told on Thursday. 

Armenia runs effective collaboration on prevention of child trafficking with People in Need project.

At the same time, social survey shows that only 1/8 of Armenian society is aware of child trafficking, the other speaker, project local representative in Armenia Tatevik Bezhanyan told and added that there were five cases of child trafficking examined in the court. Two are of sexual character, three are for forcing to beg money.
