A tragic incident took place in Yerevan Sunday, shamshyan.com reported.

At around 9:30pm, the ambulance service informed the police that it had been called to an address where the ambulance staff that were dispatched had provided medical assistance to a man, who, however, had died in their presence.

It was found out that the police patrol officers had noticed this man near the stairs, helpless, had provided him first aid on the spot, then called for an ambulance, and the latter’s staff that arrived had first provided him medical assistance, but shortly afterwards pronounced him dead.

A number of forensic examinations have been ordered.

According to preliminary information, this man had felt ill when going down the stairs, then slipped and fallen.
