A tragic incident took place on July 9 in Tavush Province of Armenia, shamshyan.com reports.

At around 7:20am that day, Tavush resident Armine E., 36, gave birth to a boy in the hospital of Ijevan city, but the newborn died.

The head of the gynecological department of this medical center confirmed to the police that the 27-week pregnant woman with bleeding who was transferred to them gave birth to the newborn, but the latter died.

The Investigative Committee of Armenia has launched criminal proceedings regarding this incident.
