It is planned to allocate 16 billion 451 million drams to the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of Armenia for the implementation of 6 programs and 14 measures. Artyush Grigoryan, First Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations, informed this in the National Assembly, at Monday’s joint session of parliamentary standing committees, during the latter’s debates on the draft 2023 state budget of Armenia.
According to the deputy minister, 14.5 billion drams—or 87.9 percent—of the aforesaid amount is the payroll of the MES system employees.
"The remaining 2 billion drams, or 12.1 percent, are operational costs," Grigoryan added.
Also, he noted that the MES budget for next year will actually increase by 2 billion 245 million drams compared to this year.
