BAKU. – New details have emerged in connection with the 2001 murder, in the Ukraine, of the Azerbaijani businessman Elchin Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Bizimyol newspaper writes, based on the information provided by Musa Rahim, Director of the International Legal Organization in Defense of Freedom and Peace.    

Rahim informed that the investigation launched by the Ukrainian prosecutor’s office found out that Elchin Aliyev was killed by the Azerbaijani defense ministry’s commander of the Shamkhor Corps, General Rovshan Eqberov. In Rahim’s words, the Ukrainian prosecutor’s office petitioned the Azerbaijani prosecutor’s office with the request to launch a criminal case against the general, Bizimyol writes.
