BRUSSELS. – On the initiative of the Armenian-Belgian Chamber of Commerce, an Armenian-Belgian economic forum will be held in Yerevan in November, Armenian PM Tigran Sargsyan stated during a press conference held, in Brussels on Monday, along the lines of his work visit to Belgium.
In Sargsyan’s words, the business directions to be discussed during the forum are already prepared, and the list of interested enterprises is clarified. The PM also noted that Armenia’s current reforms include dozens of points such as constructing 3 customs checkpoints which meet international standards, implementing the one-window principle at those checkpoints, and creating comfortable conditions for customers.
With the second direction of reforms, legislative changes will be made in tax and customs administration, and thus equal conditions will be created for businesses.
Reflecting on Armenia’s challenges and the Government’s programs during 20 years of the country’s independence, the Armenian PM noted: “We still have many unresolved problems, but we are convinced that, having overcome the unspeakable difficulties and complexities of these 20 years, we can solve today’s problems.
