YEREVAN. – Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan donated $10000 for the treatment of the Armenian writer, publicist Hovhannes Grigoryan. Thus the required amount of $50000 is collected, organizers of the fundraising told the journalists on Thursday. 

Parliament speaker Hovik Abrahamyan, PM Tigran Sargsyan and chairman of the Armenians Union in Russia Ara Abrahamyan participated in the fundraising as well.

Young writers initiated three charitable events. Exhibition-sale of the author’s books was organized in the North Avenue on Wednesday. On Thursday two events will be held in the theatre of Yerevan Cinematography Institute and in Aram Khachatryan concert hall.

The treatment will start in Germany. Fundraising is over in Armenia, while it is still in progress in Diaspora to cover all the required expenses to overcome the illness thoroughly.
