YEREVAN. – PhD in Physical-Mathematical Sciences Mane Hakobyan’s statement that a group of people of the oppositional Armenian National Congress (ANC) try to plagiarize her “Project of stable development and system amendments in scientific and educational spheres” does not correspond to the reality. It is absurd to speak on plagiarism, ANC committee coordinator on education and science Samvel Karabekyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“It is difficult for me to say what she means. ANC draft project on higher education and science is in final stage. The project will be published in the coming week. It will be possible to claim on plagiarism after its publication. There are many proposals on different provisions. I do not exclude that several proposals may coincide with Hakobyan’s theses. However, it is useless to speak about plagiarism before the project’s final approval,” Karabekyan stated.

An Armenian newspaper reported on Tuesday that Mane Hakobyan, PhD, wrote an open letter to the Armenian PM Tigran Sargsyan blaming ANC for the plagiarism.

“A group of people in ANC central office headed by Hrant Bagratyan have been violating my copyright since 2009.  This is a plagiarism on my “Project of stable development and system amendments in scientific and educational spheres.” Currently its scientific part is plagiarized. I have a sole copyright on my project. ANC was aware of it from the beginning in a written form,” the letter reads.
