YEREVAN. – As a result of the upcoming Armenian National Assembly elections, its current forces will be reelected and the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) will be elected, and perhaps the exception will be the Heritage Party, which would hardly surmount the 5-percent threshold, political technologist Karen Kocharyan stated during a press conference on Friday.
According to him, Heritage will not be able to receive the necessary number of votes because the Party’s rating is fairly low. Kocharyan also noted that he believed the political forces have already begun their unofficial campaign. And aside from the main players, those parties that want to “get” something have also started to campaign.
“Activeness will also be observed from person-centered parties, which will offer their assistance to the opposition and the authorities and try to blackmail them,” the political technologist argued.
And in response to the question whether there would be a new political force, Karen Kocharyan said ANC would enter the parliament, but a new force would not emerge in the political field.
