YEREVAN. – Armenian Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan attended, on Tuesday in Etchmiadzin city, official opening of a residential building for 16 officers serving in Armenia’s Armed Forces.

Congratulating the newly constructed building’s residents, Ohanyan noted that social security issues—including housing—of military servicemen and their families are among the Defense Ministry’s key challenges and they are at the center of state’s attention.

After the opening ceremony for the new building, the officers hosted the Minister in their apartments. Getting acquainted with the housing conditions and works carried out, Seyran Ohanyan stated with delight that the officers’ apartments are built with modern-day construction standards and are equipped with necessary conveniences and furniture, MOD Press Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
