YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Police Force denies news that the process of issuing new passports to Armenian citizens is stopped.

“There is no shortage of passport forms in Armenia, and Armenia’s citizens can apply to regional passport services of Police Force’s Passport and Visa Department to receive or exchange passports,” the Police Force told Armenian News-NEWS.am, commenting on the most recent news being circulated that the passport services were not issuing new passports to the citizens.   

Pursuant to regulation approved with Armenian government’s decision, the Police Force, on the basis of contract on provision of paid services, can also issue or exchange passports in a shorter period of time.
