YEREVAN. – Parents of servicemen who died in the Armenian army at peacetime and Armenia in Reality organization activists held protest action in front of Armenia’s presidential residence on Friday.

Protestors have posters that read “Protect defenders of the homeland,” “Bring back our Sons,” Do not Kill Soldiers,” “President Resign.” 

Police did not allow protestors to approach the residence. However, the representative of Armenian MOD Vardan Ghukasyan approached them. He asked them to follow him to the military police as all the investigators are there to clarify any issue.

Presidential residence still leaves unanswered the demands of protestors. There are also mothers, who lost their sons several years ago but nothing is revealed or no one is punished so far.

Three cases of death have occurred in the Armenian army during five days. All three cases were officially ‘revealed’ to be suicides.

Armenian News-NEWS.am earlier informed that Aram Melkonyan, 21, died in Ijevan on Thursday, Yurik Nersisyan, 19, died in Mataghis, in Karabakh, on Wednesday, and Vladimir Asatryan, 19, died in Martakert, in Karabakh on October 9.
