YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Police Force refuted the statement by Marina Arayan, mother of Karen Arayan who is in prison in connection with the case of Actress Anzhela Sargsyan, whereby she accused the actress of committing a monstrous crime.
The prisoner’s mother stated she sent to the police a 1.13-minute video, with Sargsyan’s involvement, where there is footage of pedophilia.
The video was sent for expertise conclusion, and the latter refuted the existence of any pornographic material in the footage, Police Force News Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Karen Arayan had posted nude photos of Anzhela Sargsyan on the Internet, and he was subsequently sentenced to prison on charges of illegal collection, storage, usage, or dissemination of information on personal or family life, and with illegal distribution of pornographic material, or objects.
Anzhela Sargsyan became popular after her roles in the soap opera “Where is My Man?” (Armenian version of “Sex and the City”) and “The Normal Serial” (Armenian version of “Two and a Half Men”).
This development had brought forth a huge social reaction, as Sargsyan was married during her relationship with Arayan, and, once the photos were posted on the Internet, her co-actresses in “Where is My Man?” refused to act with her.
