YEREVAN. – Armenia’s parliamentary delegation, led by National Assembly (NA) Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan, attended, in Berlin on Sunday, official opening of the 125th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).

Armenian parliamentary delegation to IPU comprises Heghine Bisharyan, Anahit Bakhshyan, and Mikayel Vardanyan, NA Press Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.   

On Monday, Armenian NA delegation took part in IPU Governing Council session, during which IPU membership issues and other matters were discussed. In addition, results were presented of the regional conference, which was held in the Armenian parliament from June 14 to 16, and devoted to children’s rights. This conference had brought together MPs from Eastern and Central European as well as CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries.      

After IPU Governing Council session, the Union’s 125th Assembly started, and the Armenian delegation, led by Hovik Abrahamyan, participated in the event.  

IPU Assembly’s Eurasia Geopolitical Group session also was held on the same day, and it was chaired by Armenian parliamentary delegation member, Mikayel Vardanyan.
