YEREVAN. – Armenia’s offering of assistance after the devastating quake in Turkey was a right step, opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) coordinator Levon Zurabyan stated during a press conference on Tuesday.

“Offering of assistance was a very natural and correct step,” Zurabyan noted. And as commentary to Turkey’s refusal of this assistance, ANC coordinator said: “Let that remain in the conscience of those who refuse.”

After the earthquake, Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan had offered Turkish authorities relief, informing that Armenian rescuers stand ready to head to Turkey and render assistance.

Sunday’s tremor in Turkey was felt in Georgia, Iran, and also in Armenia, where its magnitude ranged between 3 and 5.
