YEREVAN. – Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan on Friday headed to Aragatsotn Region, on a working visit, and took part in official opening of the Medical Center of Aparan city.   

Sargsyan also familiarized with the center’s conditions, Presidential Press Office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Armenia’s Minister of Healthcare, Harutyun Kushkyan, informed that the hospital was renovated within the framework of the President’s Equal Development of Regions Program. In his words, the Government of Armenia and the World Bank (WB) invested close to 1, 214 billion drams (US$ 3,244,710) in the Medical Center of Aparan  

The Center’s personnel currently comprise 38 physicians and 78 medical staff.

The hospital was renovated along the lines of WB Health System Modernization Project.
