YEREVAN. – Armenia’s PM Tigran Sargsyan moderated regular session of the Board of Trustees of the National Competitiveness Foundation of Armenia, which was convened in Sevan city on Sunday. During the event, the discussants reflected on Armenia’s economic development on the basis of other countries’ track record.  

Also, Tigran Sargsyan introduced the details of Armenia’s industrial strategy, which was developed together with the World Bank. In the PM’s words, this strategy is an industrial policy toward increasing export, and it specifically includes eleven industrial branches. Sargsyan noted that development plans for the first three branches (brandy production, pharmacy, and precision tool construction) are already designed. And as per the PM, the current strategic plans in these domains assume a sharp increase in volume of export, Government Press Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
