YEREVAN. – Armenian-American businessman Serob Ter-Poghosyan accused of pedophilia and sentenced to 15 years’ imprisonment on Thursday is likely appeal court judgment, his lawyer Givi Hovhannisyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In response to whether Serob Ter-Poghosyan intends to appeal the decision, the lawyer said that they still have to ponder on it. “The sentence is not fair. I believe that we should appeal. However, my defendant may reject it,” Hovhannisyan added.

The head of Akhtala Metal Prince mining plant was accused of having sex with underage. Serob Ter-Poghosyan is charged on 140 and 139 articles of Criminal Code of Armenia.
