YEREVAN. - Armenian Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Yeritsyan received UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) newly appointed representative in Armenia Manja Henriette Ahrens on Tuesday.

The Minister congratulated Ahrens for the appointment and stated that the Ministry has been cooperating with UNICEF for a long time. Moreover, Yeristyan believes that the cooperation will be continuous, Ministry press service informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The permanent representative thanked for the congratulation and said that it is a fund for humanitarian and development organization.

“Though I have been newly appointed, I managed to get acquainted with the implemented works. I am impressed in particular by the presentation of the strategy on reducing disaster risks. We are glad to support the Ministry both for prevention and reduction of the risks,” Ahrens stated.
