YEREVAN. – A European People’s Party (EPP) delegation, led by EPP Vice President and European Parliament Member Corien Wortmann-Kool, arrived in Armenia on a fact-finding mission.

To note, four Armenian political parties—ruling coalition’s Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP),  and Rule of Law Party (RLP), and the opposition’s Heritage Party—have applied for EPP membership.   

On Wednesday, the EPP delegation was received by RLP MPs and subsequently by its Chairman, and National Security Council Secretary, Arthur Baghdasaryan. 

Corien Wortmann-Kool stressed that EPP gives great importance to close contacts and partnership ties with common-idea-bearing parties.

In his turn, Arthur Baghdasaryan noted that his party was always represented in the parliament, and it authored more than 200 laws.
