GYUMRI. – There is another opposition rally in Yerevan and Gyumri citizens complain that minibuses do not work properly to take them to Yerevan. Citizens gathered in the station told Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter that the first minibus started comparatively too late at 11.45 a.m. on Friday.
No one rejected or approved information in the station. Many of those who wanted to come to Yerevan testified that they are waiting for the minibuses still from early morning. Some of the citizens had work in Yerevan, some lived there, and some had health problems and needed to attend a hospital in the capital city and no one had intentions to participate in the rally. However, all had to wait as there were just one or two minibuses by noon.
According to confident information, the minibuses do not take people to Yerevan due to the rally, as authorities try to limit number of participants. However, the reporter could not find out the official explanation of stagnant transportation as the administration was not at the working place and people in duty said it is not within their authority to comment on the issue.
Besides, the taxi drivers in Gyumri station decided to increase the price by AMD 500, making it AMD 3000 ($9) total.
