YEREVAN. - A regular rally of the oppositional Armenian National Congress (ANC) kicked off in Liberty Square of Yerevan on Friday.
Leaders of member parties of the ANC, in particular Armenia’s First President Levon Ter-Petrosyan, are on the platform.
Earlier the ANC office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that the opposition will present a declaration on political and legal basis of President Serzh Sargsyan’s resignation.
The opposition also issued a statement saying that policemen and employees of the security forces are gathered at the bus stations of the regional towns and cities blocking public transport and taxis from entering the capital.
The Armenian National Congress is an oppositional union founded in 2008 and headed by first president of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan. Oppositional union comprises 17 political parties.
