YEREVAN. – Yerevan hosted Golden Shovel culinary contest on traditional and folk food in Armenia for the first time. Cooks from England, Georgia, Russia and Armenia participated in the contest. The winner was Hrachya Torosyan from Armenia’s Gyumri city.
He won the Grand Prix with 231 points.
“We prepared four dishes. My points were the highest. So I won the Grand Prix,” the cook told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
He joined to Armenian traditional cuisine organization. It aims to preserve and develop traditions of the Armenian cuisine.
