U.S. Vice President Joe Biden arrived in Turkey on Thursday evening to hold meetings with country’s top officials.

He held his first meetings in Turkey with President Abdullah Gul and Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek, TRT reports.

U.S. Vice President and Turkish leader discussed the issues related to struggle against Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), developments in Syria, Iran and Iraq.

Earlier Turkish Zaman reported the issues related normalization of the Armenian-Turkish relations are on the agenda of Biden’s visit as well.
