YEREVAN. – Armenia launched events on Monday to mark World AIDS Day. The first was forum dedicated to struggle against HIV/AID.

Students were presented reports on ‘AIDS pathogenesis,’ ‘AIDS genetic origin,’ ‘AIDS social aspects: how preservation of national traditions promotes AIDS prevention and other topics.

The events will be summed by flash-mob, advocating HIV/AIDS prevention on Tuesday. Events aim to call young people’s attention to the topical issue and unite all efforts to struggle against the epidemic. HIV infection cases have been registered in Armenia since 1988.
