YEREVAN. – The pigs in Lorut village of Armenia’s Lori Region do not have the African Plague. This became apparent when the respective testing results came in on Tuesday.   

Results of the laboratory testing became known in the morning, according to which the pigs do not have the African Plague, but rather an ordinary fodder disease, Ministry of Agriculture official Mamikon Gasparyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Gasparyan added that the disease was isolated with the killing of the sick pigs.  

As Armenian News-NEWS.am earlier reported, some pigs had fever, and, according to the release by the Ministry of Agriculture, the symptoms looked like that of the African Plague. Two pigs from a farm were killed and a laboratory testing was commissioned.
