YEREVAN. – On Thursday, the Government of Armenia allocated one billion drams (approx. US$ 2,617,163), from its reserve fund, to purchase nitric fertilizers and sell them to the villagers at a low cost.
Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetyan, who was presenting this matter during the Government’s session, noted that 25 thousand tons of nitric fertilizers will be purchased and they will be sold to the villagers for 120 drams (approx. 31 cents) per kilogram, or 6,000 drams (approx. $16) per sack.
To note, this year nitric fertilizer’s market price had risen up to 10,000 drams (approx. $26) per sack in Armenia.
