Governor Suren Khachatryan (a.k.a. Liska) of Armenia’s Syunik Region will welcome the New Year in Armenia, with his family, Khachatryan himself told Armenian News-NEWS.am, in response to the query as to the veracity of the rumors that he will welcome the New Year in Baden-Baden, Germany.   

“Those rumors are absolutely false. I will welcome the New Year with my family members, and at our home,” Suren Khachatryan said. He also added: “I congratulate everyone. May it be a year of peace and of the solution of all problems that cause concern for our nation.” 

But Suren Khachatryan did not wish to speak about the achievements and shortcomings of 2011.
