YEREVAN. - Norik Mirzakhanyan (by nickname ‘Potato’) who is a close friend of General Manvel Grigoryan and was arrested on December 12 for using drugs has not insulted Armenian Police Chief Vladimir Gasparyan and the later has not beaten him up, Mirzakhanyan himself told the reporter of Armenian News-NEWS.am. Because investigation is underway he refused to say more.

“I can only say that I have not committed the things I am accused of, I have not insulted Vladimir Gasparyan and he has not beaten me up,” he said.

According to information of the media, during a short detention Norik Mirzakhanyan whose nickname is ‘Potato’ insulted the police chief and this was reported to him. After that Vladimir Gasparyan himself beat him up.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, Mirzakhanyan was arrested on December 12 as 7 grams of drugs were discovered by him.
