ANKARA. –Turkish FM Ahmet Davutoglu commented on the letter by the French President Nikolas Sarkozy addressed to Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan regarding the genocide bill adoption in France.

Turkish PM has stated that Sarkozy’s letter was a response to Erdogan’s message. Turkey expects that Sarkozy will show respect towards European values, he said, Turkish Hurriyet reports.

At a press conference organized by his South Korean counterpart, he said those exploiting history will carry burden of same history.

“They will stay in the darkness where they wished to lead Europe. Sarkozy must face its values and history. Adoption of the Armenian bill will leave a black spot on France’s history. And we will constantly are to remind of it,” Davutoglu stated.
