YEREVAN. - Armenian Parliament Speaker Samvel Nikoyan has appointed his brother-in-law Rafael Abovyan as his assistant, sources in the Armenian Republican Party’s (RPA) inform. According to the sources, Abvyan has worked as a driver in RPA.

Rafael Abovyan told that he could not answer our questions. He denied our information that he was the speaker’s relative and has been a driver once.

To remind, information was spread in the media that after some assistants left with the former parliament speaker Hovik Abrahamyan, the newly appointed speaker Samvel Nikoyan appointed a new assistant, whose name is Rafael Abovyan. It is not clear who he is and in what sphere he is going to help the speaker. It is only known that he is an RPA member.
