YEREVAN. – Ruling coalition member Orinats Yerkir party former MP Gagik Baghdasaryan wanted to leave the party after March 1, 2008, developments (when 10 people were killed in demonstrations in Yerevan downtown), however, he tried to do it without intensifying the situation, Baghdasaryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
“The whole issue is that the party elite try to attribute all its dishonesties to me. The Parliament knows who I am and the population knows what the party is. This is due to the fact that justice and honesty is absolutely lacking the party,” Baghdasaryan said.
To the remark that he is blamed voting for the ruling coalition another member party Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) decision, he said that he voted according to his decision. PAP’s decision has nothing to do with his opinion. Their opinions coincided as the tools the authorities implement towards the small and medium businesses will not lead to something good.
In response to the question if there are many people in Orinats Yerkir who think like him, he said that he can speak only for him, let others decide on their own.
