YEREVAN.- Non-participation in the voting on the financial operations bill is not politically motivated, said Hakob Hakobyan, MP from ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA).
Earlier this week, RPA’s coalition partner Prosperous Armenia did not take part in National Assembly voting on the bill concerning limitations to financial operations, and thus “torpedoed” the passing of the bill.
Stressing there is no confrontation within the ruling coalition, Hakobyan said “the party did not vote but it cannot be considered a political move.”
In his turn member of the Armenian opposition Liberal party Hovhannes Hovhannisyan labeled Prosperous Armenia’s move as a political demarche. Speaking about the bill, Hovhannisyan added that Prosperous Armenia made right remarks on the bill.
