YEREVAN. – Armenian capital Yerevan City Hall reflected on the statement released by the activists against the construction in Mashtots Park, according to which, during his meeting with the activists, Mayor Taron Margaryan had allegedly said to them that they should not speak with him in the language of the law.
“We inform that the words attributed to the Mayor were deliberately presented in a distorted fashion and out of context. In reality, during the meeting Mayor Taron Margaryan assured them that those [construction] activities are carried out within the framework of the law, which, however, did not satisfy the representatives of the initiative, and they claimed that there is a violation of the law.
In response to this claim, Mayor Taron Margaryan proposed them to submit an application with the court. Yerevan City Hall assures yet again that the installation of temporary constructions in the non-green zone is carried out in accordance with the law,” the City Hall’s relevant statement specifically reads.
