YEREVAN. – Armenian Special Investigative Service sent punishment release to the Parliament for carrying liability against MPs Ara Babloyan, Hermine Naghdalyan, Gagik Melikyan and Areg Ghukasyan, who carried out double voting on Feb. 9, according to the report by the head of the Center for Armenian Parliamentarism Ruben Torosyan, Service’s press service informs Radio Liberty.

Torosyan reported the Service on Feb. 11 that Parliament Speaker Samvel Nikoyan and Deputy Speaker Edward Sharmazanov, in violation of parliamentary rules and procedures, took no moves to punish those MPs.

Further Torosyan asked why the Service sent the punishment release back to the Parliament as the address is not correct and the release should have been sent to the President of Armenia.

He asked the Service to examine his report as abusing official duties. However, the Service makes no comments on its decisions.
