Turkish Grand National Assembly (Parliament) Speaker Mustafa Sentop said he has nominated President Tayyip Erdogan for the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to resolve the crisis in Ukraine.
"I have nominated President Erdogan for the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to bring peace between Russia and Ukraine. I have an application. There will be applications from other countries," the Star newspaper quoted Sentop as saying.
